I moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Soon after my manager advised me to find a dialect coach that could help me round off my Croatian accent. I audited a number of coaches and when I met with Claudette for the first time, I knew I had found a rarity. By the end of our first meeting, she immediately was able to recognize my problem areas and prescribed speech exercises that focused directly on my situation, unlike any other dialect coach I had experienced. A week later, we both heard a huge improvement in my American pronunciation. Claudette’s teaching method made it easy for me to see why I was pronouncing certain English words and letters incorrectly, resulting in rapid and positive improvement.
